Our History
Bill Rankin, with the simple idea of serving the community, established Rankins Funerals in 1963 - and that idea has never changed, only strengthened.
Rankins Funerals is a 100% local, family-owned business. We have established ourselves, with the assistance of a dedicated team, as a leader in the funeral profession.
After being in the same site in Greene Street, Warrawong for over 40 years, Rankins Funerals embarked on a project to design a facility to better serve the families of the Illawarra.
In November 2005, after two years of building and design, the dream was realised. Rankins moved into our new and improved premises in Cowper Street, Warrawong.

At Rankins Funerals, we provide families with a tasteful yet unique way to pay their respects or to pre-plan their funeral to relieve their family of stress. Give us a call or visit us in our central Warrawong location.

As we have been in the area for more than 40 years, we have seen generations of families pass through our doors. We have a strong and compassionate connection with the local community, sponsoring a number of organisation and groups based and operating in the Illawarra.
